Audiobook Review - When Lemons Give You Life by Anna Johnston

A few years ago, Johnston, wrote one of my favorite books—The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife, so I was super excited to read her sophomore novel. There was absolutely no sophomore slump here, I enjoyed this one so much!
What to expect:
▪️Family Drama
▪️Sibling Relationships
▪️Feel Good Story
▪️Humorous
▪️Sad, yet Heartwarming
▪️Processing Grief
▪️Filled to the Brim with Love
▪️Secrets
▪️Second Chances
This book is about the lengths we go for those we love. How far would you go?
Griff, a Michelin-star chef and resident of an Age Care Facility is fed up with the bland and boring food the residents are served. So, he begins sneaking in the kitchen after hours to cook better food for the residents. Night after night he sneaks around because he is holding onto and protecting a whopper of a lie!
Lisa is Griff’s younger sister and his only visitor to the facility, despite their fractured relationship. A new relationship, a new medical diagnosis and Lisa is struggling to hold it all together.
As you read, you’ll feel reminded to rediscover all the joys in life. Maybe everything isn’t a sour lemon after all!
I definitely recommend this one! Johnston has firmly placed herself on my list of author favorites and one I can could on a story with feel-good vibes.
