Happy Pub Week to, Life: A Love Story by Elizabeth Berg. I’m so surprised I haven’t seen more of this book on bookstagram this week! Thank you to @prhaudio for the gifted listening copy. It’s narrated by the author and I thought it was well done. As soon as I finished it, I immediately recommended it to my girl @mommaleighellensbooknook We both have such a soft spot for octogenarian characters and written letters.

This book is a quick read and invoked similar feelings like The Correspondent by Virginia Evans did. It’s heartwarming and a good reminder to celebrate the joy in life. A reminder to discover new ways to seek happiness, friendships, and love.

Florence “Flo” is ninety-two and nearing the end of her life. She decides to leave her house and belongings to, Ruthie, the younger woman who grew up next door and is like her surrogate daughter. Ruthie is no longer her neighbor, so Flo writes a letter sharing stories and the meanings behind some of her precious belongings. She shares stories of her past—the big and small moments in her life. Flo leaves an indelible mark on others, she certainly did me!

“Part of life is learning how perfect imperfect can be.

I highly recommend this one!
