*Wild Goose Chase by Sarah Adler -

Thank you @prhaudio for the the gifted audiobook narrated by Mara Wilson, Dan Bittner, and Therese Plummer.  Actress, Mara Wilson, has done all of Adler’s books and she is the perfect choice!  All three narrators were fantastic!  Quirky. Funny. Loads of Fun. I’ll admit it took me a bit to settle into this story.  Insta-Love fans this one is for you!  The ‘wild goose chase’ (searching for a missing taxidermy goose) while fun, does get old after a while.  It sort of overshadows the actual romance parts.  My favorite part of this story is the idea of being yourself because the right person wants all of you! 

*Meet Me in Paris by Kristin Harmel -

Thank you @simonaudio via @librofm for the the gifted audiobook which is brilliantly narrated by Madeleine Maby.  I’m a big Harmel fan, but I’ll admit I mostly know her historical fiction work.  Did you know she began her career writing contemporary stories?  Well, now you do.  This is one of those rare times that I kinda wished I would’ve read the author’s note first to set the tone and expectations of the book. I think it would’ve helped my experience. It was an amazing idea to have a “love actually” type story in Paris. The writing was fantastic. I just struggled to connect with all the couples/characters/storylines in this story. Some really clicked for me and some had me repeatedly asking myself, “wait who was that again”.  Give it a try and travel to Paris via the pages with a story that will tug at your heartstrings! 

*Finlay Donovan Crosses the Line by Elle Cosimano - I borrowed the audiobook of this from my public library!  Yay!  On one hand it was great to be back with Finlay and Vero. On the other hand—blah…blah…blah—I was so bored! But then the ending…THE ENDING!!! Ugh, I’m in for the next book 😂

*Married with Benefits by Ellie Palmer -

If Karissa Vacker narrates a book…I’m going to listen to it!  She’s a favorite and so is Ellie Palmer.  Thank you @prhaudio!  This one was fine. But, if I’m being honest, I was kind of bored. The spark was missing. The razzle-dazzle. Marriage of convenience needs the right set up and I just wasn’t buying this one. The third act breakup…groan. This one has representation of a main character with severe migraines—relatable. We love disability representation!  I think this one is worth a try to see if it works for you, especially if you love the MOC trope.
