The Love Of My Life was one of April’s selections for the @bookfriendsbookclub We try to include a selection from @bookofthemonth each month, if possible. Tonight is our discussion and I.can.not.wait!!! I need to talk about this one!
This is an incredible difficult book to review without giving away any details. My recommendation is to go into this one blind. Honestly, I’m not even sure what genre to classify this one as. Book of the month has it as Contemporary. Amazon has it ranked under ‘Women’s Domestic Life Fiction’, ’Contemporary Women Fiction’ and ‘Romantic Suspense’.
I’ve been kind of slumping this April with my mind focused on moving and this one was highly binge-able and snapped my brain right back into reading.
“I have held you at night for ten years and I didn’t even know your name. We have a child together. A dog, house. Who are you? …”
Rating: Eeek! I don’t know what to rate this one… I loved it! Then, I was annoyed at times because I didn’t know what was going on. Like I said it was an enjoyable and binge-able read that snap me out of a funk. I would recommend this for fans of Laura Dave’s The Last Thing He Told Me. I would not be surprised if this one gets snapped up for a tv series. I think it could translate well. 3.75-4 ⭐️’s
