Christmas at fireside cabins

Christmas time is tough for Lila. With no family, she leans heavily on her best girlfriends to get through this time of year. Every year, they go on a holiday getaway together. This year it’s to the quaint town of Pinewood Hills, staying at a countryside resort called fireside cabins.
When they arrive at fireside cabins, they are met by the owner, who is also a widow, named Eleanor. Eleanor’s husband used to to keep the cabins in tip-top shape, but she’s struggling to keep up with everything on her own. Needless to say the cabins aren’t in as good of condition as the pictures stated. For a split second the girls want to bail, but they don’t have the heart to do that to Eleanor, especially Lila. She understands what it’s like to be without a family and lonely.
On the first day of vacation the girls go out searching for holiday festivities and fun. And nothing says festive like a peppermint latte. At the local coffee shop they meet owner, Theo, who’s a serious grump and gives them an ice cold reception.
But, Lila falls in love with Pinewood Hills and is determined to thaw out Theo and help Eleanor with the cabins.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love author Jenny Hale. This book is definitely for fans of The Hallmark Channel. My only complaint is Theo’s secret and the reason he was so cold and secretive was a little dramatic.
