Oh my heart! I absolutely loved Namesake. After the first book, left us on quite a cliffhanger, it was so good to be back in the Narrows with Fable, West, Saint, and the rest of the crew.
📚 Book Review 📚
Title: Namesake
Author: Adrienne Young
Publisher: Wednesday Books
Genre: YA Fantasy
The Marigold, Fable and its crew are finally free from her father. But that freedom would be short-lived when Fable becomes a pawn between rivals. In order to get to her intended destination, she must help secure a partnership with Holland, a powerful gem trader; someone who may be more than she seems.
Namesake sails us deeper into a world of betrayal and deception, with Fable learning secrets her mother took to her grave. Secrets that are now putting her in danger. Fable must risk everything, including her love for West and a home she finally has and so desperately wants.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book gave me everything I wanted. Resolution from the first book. More of Fable and West’s relationship. *swoon* A deeper understanding of Fable and Saint relationship. It seems Saint may not be as coldhearted as it would appear. I got misty eyed when he professed his love to his daughter. The author’s writing is so beautiful, lyrical and atmospheric. I can hardly wait for the spin-off book due out in September with the new characters she introduced - The Roth’s. It’s going to be good! Lastly, I’m fairly new the the fantasy genre so I’m letting you know that this book is for everyone. Young, old, fantasy fan or not . . . you’re going to love it! But make sure you read Fable first! 😉
