In honor of Part of Your World being one of the many @bookofthemonth BOTY finalists; I thought I would finally review it! Now I don’t have a goat in pajamas, but I do have a little bear dog 🤣🤣

Raise you hand if the title of this book had you singing The Little Mermaid “Part of Your World” song!? Please let it not just be me!
Okay, any book that has a male character that has a baby goat in pajamas is an automatic winner. I mean . . . c’mon! Abby! What are you trying to do to us. hahaha And again with the food. I think Alexis was a goner the first night with the gourmet grilled cheese sandwich!
Alexis was on her way home from a funeral when hot carpenter Daniel tows her car out of a ditch. She meets him again down the road at the only place in the small town, the VFW. He’s ten years younger than her so no way this could be more than a one night stand.
Besides, Alexis’s whole world is mapped out for her. She’s an ER doctor. Everyone in her family is a doctor. But she was supposed to be a surgeon. To please her Dad, she will have to become chief and do others things for the hospital her family is on the board of.
The more Alexis realizes her world isn’t what she wants and the more she goes and visits Daniel she thinks maybe that’s the world she wants.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really liked this book overall, but I will say I have issues with the forbidden love trope. I honestly couldn’t see any reason why these two couldn’t be together at any point in this book.
