his book is a #bookstagram favorite and I gotta admit is was a like not a love for me. It was fine. I enjoyed it. But based on how much people rave about this one and how many times I see people say they reread this one I was expecting more I guess. I think ultimately, I was confused by the ‘trope’. I *think* it was supposed to be enemies to lovers. But, it felt so flimsy to me.
Olive is a twin. But she feels like the unlucky twin. Everything goes her sister’s way. Her sister Ami wins at everything. Especially contests. She practically won her whole dream wedding. To her dream guy. But you know who is not a dream? Ethan Thomas. He is Olive’s nemesis. Unfortunately, he is also the best man. Olive puts on a brave face for the wedding and suddenly her luck changes when everyone gets food poising at the wedding. Well, everyone but her and Ethan. Suddenly, they find themselves with a free honeymoon up for grabs. Neither one backing down, so off they go to Maui with a temporary truce.
10 days of pretending to be newlyweds . . . what could go wrong!? And the crazy part is Olive doesn’t even mind and may even begin to feel lucky!
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Like I said I enjoyed this one but was expecting a slam dunk 5+ all the stars. I guess I should put in a disclaimer that this duo has been hit or miss for me. I think that’s the case for a lot of people it seems. And the funny part is that it’s not the same books!
