—Kansas Style Book Review— Title: You with a View Author: Jessica Joyce Publisher: Berkley @berkleypub Genre: Contemporary + Romance You with a View by Jessica Joyce was definitely a #bookstagrammademedoit and #fomo book! And I’m happy to add to the existing reviews and report back they were 100% spot on. I really connected with the photography and traveling in this book. I’m a sucker for older characters, so Paul and Noelle’s Grams love story was kryptonite! I love the enemies to lovers trope because of the witty banter and for Noelle and Theo it really, really worked!
Noelle finds herself at a crossroads, unemployed from a meaningless job, living with her parents in her former bedroom-now-peleton-studio, and grieving the loss of her precious grandmother, who she was very close with. After going through some boxes that were her Gram’s she stumbles upon some pictures of a mysterious man and a love letter. Desperate to figure things out, she throws a hail mary to social media. After her post goes viral, she meets up with the mystery man, Paul, and his grandson who responded. Imagine her shock when the grandson is no other than her nemesis from high school, Theo.
After Noelle has a few more meetings with Paul, he begins to tell her the story of how he met her Gram in college and shockingly that they almost eloped. With nothing else going on, Noelle can’t shake the idea of going on a road trip like her Gram and Paul were supposed to all those years ago. Truly feeling lost at the moment without her grandmother and afraid to pursue the job she really wants of photography, this trip is just what Noelle needs. When Paul and Theo come along, it turns into the adventure of a lifetime! But will enemies Noelle and Theo survive this trip!?
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I loved the character growth of both Noelle and Theo. I loved that even though Noelle lost her Gram she gained Paul in her life. I loved that Noelle and Paul bonded through photography and Noelle was finally able to pick up a camera again. I loved the travel. This one had more depth for a romance story and I loved it. How many times can I say the word love!? 😆
