{Thank you to @prhaudio for the gifted audiobook copy of This Book Made Me Think of You by Libby Page. I LOVED THIS BOOK! It’s narrated by Zadeiah Campbell-Davies who was a great choice for a British book.}
PS-I Love You but make it bookish.
If you loved the book/movie PS-I Love You, you are going to love this one too. But don’t worry, while the themes may feel familiar it’s completely unique in its own right. If you love books with a bookish trope, this one is for you. For me, it was like indulging in my favorite treat—you won’t be able to stop once you start!
Don’t let the adorable cover fool you either, it does have themes of grief, but it is also so heartfelt!
Tilly is bibliophile. But she hasn’t been reading much since her husband Joe passed away. Out of the blue, she receives a phone call from her local indie bookshop that her husband has pre-purchased 12 books for her to receive one a month over the course of the next year. Over the next year—through books—we watch Tilly overcome her grief through stories, adventures, trying new things, and more.
Favorite Quotes:
“Bookshops aren’t just bookshops, they are places for book lovers to come together, like minded souls meeting amongst the stacks. They are the hubs of our communities and the arena for heated conversations about the latest must read series. They are safe spaces to step in out of the rain, no matter who you are. And they need our support now more than ever.”
“Books transport us, yet keep us rooted at the same time.”
A must read—five stars—out tomorrow 2/3!
