Here are some quick thoughts:
▪️I’m calling 2025 the year of mind blowing debut authors. You can add Austin Taylor to the list!
▪️The rumors are true—This gave me Tomorrow x3 vibes. While it was the science + research from Harvard students on an anti-aging drug and not video games something about this gave me the same feelings. The characters are ones you really love, but also kind of hate too!
▪️This book is heavy on science—but as someone who doesn’t gravitate towards this topic—I found it easily consumable. I will say I listened to the audiobook thanks to @macmillan.audio so maybe that helped to make it easier to digest?
▪️I loved the focus on a woman in STEM! It also depicted really well living up to family expectations vs. our own dreams.
▪️I’m still thinking about this one. I found the first 70-80% well plotted and paced. Then BOOM it pivots and POV changes. I’m still not sure how I feel about it, but I do think it was likely the best choice to represent the academia world.
▪️Happy Pub Week! This one released yesterday—6/3 and comes with my recommendation - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
