—Book Review—
Eeek! I read this one in June. Summer is over. It’s almost October. Time to review it…
Title: In A New York Minute
Author: Kate Spencer
Publisher: Forever

Genre: Contemporary
In A New York Minute has the ultimate meet-cute in it and very much reads like a Nora Ephron movie to me. Then, of course, we get a third main character in this one - New York City! Can’t go wrong with that!
Franny is having the worst day. She was just fired from her job. Ok, it was a mediocre job, but a job’s a job and NYC is freaking expensive. But the worst is yet to come. Her favorite silk dress is ripped in the subway doors. But, finally her luck turns around and a handsome stranger hands her his suit jacket (that she later discovers is Gucci!).
But then the stranger rushes off and another stranger posts the entire meet-cute online! Suddenly Franny and Hayes Montgomery III are #subwayQTs
Turns out Franny and Hayes are a terrible match. She’s more of a talkative and creative type and he’s shy and serious. Oh well!
But then they keep running into each other. In a city of eight million people! And it turns out they like each other’s company.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 This book was funny and clever, but it was lacking the umph for me. It was one that sat on my nightstand and I was in a hurry to pick it back up. I’m not sure why. I didn’t dislike it. Just lacking that spark. But give it a shot…it may be the book for you!
