You know what really fills my cup up? Book Club day and meeting authors via zoom. Thank you @helenfisher_author for meeting with @bookfriendsbookclub and letting us dive deeper into Joe Nuthin’s Guide to Life. If this book isn’t on your radar, it absolutely, a million percent, should be! Joe Nuthin’s Guide to Life is:
✨ A book you will hug when you finish reading
✨ One that feels like found family and a community you want to be part of
✨ A reminder to not make assumptions about people
✨ Filled with compassion
✨ Characters that feel real to life
✨ Deals with grief & bullying in a gentle way
Joe-Nathan, who is sometimes called Joe-Nuthin, is a neurodivergent young man who likes rules, a schedule, his job, and friends. He’s kind, compassionate and far from nothing. To make sure he can navigate the world, his mom Janet has written him a guide book to help him with his day-to-day life. She then writes another book filled with advice.
Filled with a wonderful cast of characters, you are sure to fall in love with this story and each and everyone of them; including the bully in the story. This book is going to make you pause and be a reminder to never judge anyone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes. People can be different, but they’re not less.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way!
I can’t wait for what author Helen Fisher writes next!
