Thank you @macmillan.audio #MacAudio2024 for the #gifted listening copy of Savor It by Tarah Dewitt. The audio is 🔥🔥🔥. It’s narrated by everyone’s favorite narrators, Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber.
This was my first book by Tarah Dewitt. I know she made her start as an indie author and has quite a following. I’ve seen a lot of five star reviews, so I think I’m in minority finding this book just okay. It just didn’t have enough tension or character growth for me. I love small town romances, but for some reason I found this book kind of boring.
Sage lives in the small coastal town of Spunes, Oregon on her hobby farm filled with misfit animals. (I loved how she took in all the animals no one wanted!) She’s been in a rough patch since she recently broke up with her boyfriend of five years. Things got even worse because her ex quickly gets engaged after they break up. Hoping for a win she sets her sights on winning her town’s annual festival competition. She just needs a partner…
Fisher is a big shot NYC chef with a Michelin star. He’s forced to take a sabbatical from work because he is grieving the loss of sister and now in charge of his niece, Indy. His boss sends him to Spunes to take a stab at creating the menu for a new restaurant they are opening there. To get his mojo back. The rental that he moves into for the summer, just happens to be next to Indy…
Summer fun. Small-town charm. Just savor it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
