CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE MINI-REVIEWS

▪️Anywhere With You by Ellie Palmer - {Thank you @prhaudio for the #gifted audiobook!  It’s narrated by Karissa Vacker and I absolutely love when she narrates this genre.  She’s really, really good!}

Short Review:  This book kept me up way too late reading it!  Soooo good.

It’s a friends-to-lover story, swoony, and downright hilarious!  Type-A FMC divorcee vs. a MMC who lives in a camper van.  Charley assumes her childhood best friend, Ethan, is just an unreliable slacker living in a camper van.  But when they set off on an adventure to the upstate Minnesotan woods to stop her sister’s wedding she learns some things along the way and lets just say—sparks fly—literally!

▪️Maid for Each Other by Lynn Painter - {Thank you @prhaudio for the #gifted audiobook!  This is a fake dating dual POV story with dual narration by—Taylor Bell Curda and Teddy Hamilton.}  Binged. Swoon. LAUGHED. Loved. When I finished this book it left the biggest grin on my face!  Declan is millionaire; Abi is his house cleaner.  Declan prefers to have his penthouse cleaned when he is out of town.  Abi, a poor student working two jobs, who knows he’s out of town, decides to stay over at his place when her apartment is being fumigated.  She gets the surprise of a lifetime when she wakes up the next morning and Dex’s parents are staying over!  They assume she’s his girlfriend since he invented one to get them off his back about dating. Next comes a fake dating arrangement—all business, no pleasure—rightttt!?  This is adult Lynn Painter at her finest, but FYI, the MMC uses the ‘F’ word a lot if that bothers you, otherwise relatively tame.

▪️Grace Harris is Under Construction by Kate Hash - Debut author alert!  {Thank you @prhaudio for the #gifted audiobook!  It’s narrated by Brittany Pressley who I absolutely love!}  Hash wrote a beautiful story that is filled with love, while also exploring grief.  Gracie never intended to for her popular column on love and lost to turn into a book deal.  She also never expected to deeply connect with her contractor working on her vacation home.  With a looming deadline, she sends her two children off to summer camp and escapes to her mountain vacation home to write, but her summer becomes so much more.  You’re going to love this second chance story for both of these characters!
