Zoey is a movie director and the Christmas movie she wrote is in danger of being shelved because of a mistake with the permits. After a breakup right before the holidays and no plans of her own, she decides to take matter into her own hands and fly to the small town of Chelsea, Quebec where she plans to film her movie. Right away she is greeted with charm and cheer from the small town villagers who are quite excited at the idea of a movie being filmed in their town. All except for the Christmas tree farm owner, Benoit. It turns out Ben is also the mayor of the town and this flannel loving grouch says a big fat NO to her permit! With only a few days before Christmas, Zoey must change Ben’s mind, but the weather has other plans for these two when an epic ice storm hits!
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love small town stories; so that with all the Christmas vibes, a grumpy guy, and a dog = being immediately sucked into this story. Liked I said this was an easy listen. I did find some of their snowstorm adventure ridiculous and over the top, but it’s a holiday book so you can over look a lot. (At least I can 😆) Loved the banter. Download this one to listen to while you are wrapping those last minute Christmas presents!! It’s one you’ll fly through.
