Signal Fires

—Book Review—

Title: Signal Fires

Author: Dani Shapiro

Publisher: Knopf

Genre: Literary Fiction

Here’s a book that came out of nowhere it seems and then suddenly was everywhere!!! I read this one back in November of 2022 and was trying to collect my thoughts before I wrote a review and now it’s January 2023 and I’m still pondering. Don’t you love books and characters that get under your skin!? This one is a little tricky to review without giving anything away. I will say it made my favorites list last year. And I love a good family drama. This book is not large in size at around 215 pages, but it’s like a meaty chicken wing or maybe a pot of soup that you ladle out and are surprised by how much is in it.

One night. One fateful choice. A constellation of lives changed forever. A non-linear storyline. That’s all you really need to know. Go forth and enjoy!

“Everything is connected. Everything. The lady. The doctor. Me. You. It’s like we’re part of a galactic supercluster.”

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Some books just give you all the feels. You can’t explain it. You can’t put them down. They stay with you long after you’re done. This book was one for me.
