The Therapist tells the story of Alice and Leo, who move into a gated community together in London and discover that not only does their house hold secrets, but so do their neighbors. From the get go I was on the edge of my seat and felt very suspicious of both our main characters. I love that! I love when I get into a book like that right away!
The gated community, known as the Circle, is a community of exclusive houses and everything you could dream of! Or maybe not. Shortly after they move in Alice learns that a murder took place in their home before they moved in. Alice learns her boyfriend Leo knew about the murder and kept it from her! But why!? She feels mad. Betrayed! Angry! Then all of her whispering, suspicious neighbors. Alice becomes consumed with uncovering the secrets of her beautiful house and who used to live there. And just who the heck is The Therapist!?
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 I enjoyed this one while I was reading it, but when I wasn’t I didn’t find myself wanting to pick it up. Do you know the feeling!? It’s a good thriller, but at times it felt a little slow and bogged down with mundane details, IMO. I still would recommend it.
